It is not difficult to guess what the EZ SoftMagic-developed Audio Recorder Pro application can do. It’s functionality is pretty much obvious from its name – with you Audio Recorder Pro you can make audio recordings. That much is obvious from the application’s name.

There are a few bits and pieces that are not obvious from Audio Recorder Pro’s name though. It is not obvious that by using this application you can record any and all sounds that go through your sound card. This means you can record the online radio station you’re listening to or you can record the music video you’re watching in your browser.

All recordings are saved as MP3, OGG, or WAV. You can put the MP3 file on your portable media player, or on your mobile phone, and listen to music while you are on the go.

Here are some other aspects of Audio Recorder Pro’s functionality that you could never guess by simply looking at the application’s name:
- The application comes with a built-in timer that you can use to schedule recordings.
- The application has a Voice Activation feature. This means the app will start recording only when it detects a noise.

Before you go get Audio Recorder Pro and put it to the test, there are a few technical details you may want to know about. The following technical details:

Download – the download weighs in at 1.9MB, which is good news. It means the download will complete in no time at all, even if you are on a less than spectacular internet connection. To my mind, not having to wait a long time for a download to complete is always nice.
Supported OS – at the time of writing this and according to the developer, Audio Recorder Pro provides support for Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. The developer recommends you use Audio Recorder Pro on Windows XP.
Limitations – Audio Recorder Pro is only free to try. This means you can use the application free of charge only for a trial period of 15 days.
